Nopal Cactus (opuntia streptacantha species) has been used for thousands of years by Mexican natives as a food and for enhanced health and vitality. HealthForce Nutritionals Nopal is the authentic Opuntia Streptacantha species. Other species of Nopal and Prickly Pear Cactus are very nutritious and good for you, but do not have the effects of Opuntia Streptacantha, especially when it comes to blood sugar balance.
